Douglaston Farm Foster and Anita Warriner
chicken tractor and its wake
The Warriner famiily have been farming in Saskatchewan since Canadian farming was in its infancy, in 1892 to be exact.
In 1983 Foster and his wife, Anita, took the reins from his father, but before doing so Foster earned a degree as a certified general accountant.
Once on the farm Anita, who came from an environmentally aware family in California, was shocked and appalled by the use of herbicides and pesticides as common practice in conventional agriculture.
